Quadrant Group Limited (“Quadrant”) and RSi Visual Systems, Inc. (“RSi”) have today announced that RSi has acquired the flight simulator relocation business of Quadrant Simulation Systems, Inc. (“QSSI”) based in Orlando, Florida, with immediate effect. The acquired business will merge with RSi’s existing simulation services business, also based in Orlando, Florida. Following the transaction, QSSI will continue to be responsible for completion of certain customer contracts currently in work.
David Coghlan, Chairman of Quadrant, commented: “Along with most of the worldwide aviation industry, the flight simulator services market has been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The merger of the flight simulator relocation activities of Quadrant and RSi will create a stronger relocations business for the RSi/Quadrant Simulation combination and allow Quadrant to focus on its higher value-added flight simulation training, upgrade and maintenance services, in addition to its world-leading air traffic control simulation and training activities.”
Tai Duong, President of RSi Orlando, said: “RSi is delighted to incorporate the Quadrant relocation business into its vibrant global simulation services division. Over a period of almost 2 decades, Quadrant successfully performed many hundreds of individual programs in addition to complete training center relocations involving more than 50 full flight simulators for tier one Airlines in the US, UK, Asia, and Australia. We look forward to combining these resources as part of our continuing global expansion plans.”
